December Sun #3 – Page 10A

Back again after my hiatus yesterday (and Wednesday was a double-post so it should have covered…)

If by some strange fluke someone is checking the file numbering scheme for page 9-10, it’s all messed up.

  1. Rob,
Thanks for the links to my blog site. That was very thoughtful.

Today I have been relaxing and reading some old Flash comics (Showcase
Presents: The Flash Volume 2). I note that your December Sun art reminds me
somewhat of Carmine Infantino’s Flash. I would recommend his work in general
(from 1960-66) on the Flash and Adam Strange to you if you aren’t familiar with it. Infantino was very big on design and composition. He studied Edward Degas’ work intensively and incorporated the design principles he learned from Degas and others. He also had a love of architecture and interior design. I think you could learn a lot from him. He is a fantastic designer. Anyway give his work a try if you are not already familiar with it. God bless.

  2. Thanks Don! I’m not familiar with Carmine Infantino but I’ll have to check out some of his art. I’ve been in heavy inking mode recently, working on some of Eric’s pencils, and it’s been a blast! He’s a snazzy penciller so it’s been a challenge to try to match up his pencils with my brushes. I hope to get some of these pages in AO in the future.
